What's Hot?

Yes, that's my husband giving me a piggyback ride!

Make your wedding stand out!

These days, most people have attended at least one wedding.  They're going to expect the usual, ceremony, reception, dinner, and dancing.  Surprise your guests with something they'll remember!  You can do this many different ways.  Incorporate a fun theme.  For example, one of my friends love Disneyland, so their entire wedding had Mickey Mouse as a theme.

As for me, I'm Korean, so we incorporated a Korean tradition where we both wore Korean attire and my husband gave me a piggyback ride around the table as a sign of his strength!  It was so much fun!!  All of our guests were laughing and having a blast!  Till this day, people still tell us how much fun they had at our wedding.

Another friend of mine, had taco stands at their wedding because the groom loved Mexican food!  These days you can have almost any restaurant or fastfood joint cater your wedding!!  This applies even to In-N-Out!!

Incorporate anything new and fun into your wedding!!  Make it stand out so people are still talking about it years after :)

Stand out with your attire

If you want to make your wedding stand out, also think of unique wedding dress ideas. Try wearing something that's influenced by your culture or maybe of a different color. Below are some traditional Korean dresses that have been tweaked to look modern, fresh and sophisticated.

Serve surprise goodies!

Remember, this is your wedding.  Do what you want, and have fun with it!  My hubby and I love spam masubis.  It's a Hawaiian dish that's made with spam and rice wrapped in seaweed.  Our hotel didn't serve spam masubis, so we called a local Hawaiian restaurant to cater them.  Plus, a lot of our guests enjoyed eating them because they're so delicious!

These days, a lot of people have candy bars.  You can do that too.  You can also serve your favorite tea and have a tea station in the foyer.  Seriously, be creative and serve what you both like to eat or drink.  Your guests will love the surprises and rave about your wedding!

Be Different

Guess what kind of food we served on our wedding day??  KOREAN food!  Sure, we had some guests that probably didn't like every Korean dish that we served.  But, I'm pretty sure most of our guests left with a full belly and with a huge smile!

A few months ago, my husband and I attended a co-worker's wedding.  At the wedding, my husband's friends were telling us how they remember all the yummy food they ate at our wedding.  They kept saying, "You guys had so much food!  It was sooo good!"

What's my point?  Don't be afraid to be different and serve different ethnic food.  People love trying new things, well for the most part.

Be different in your own unique way.  Embrace who you and your fiance are!!  For example, my girlfriend and her husband love the Chargers.  So, they incorporated a really nice Charger theme by having the guests' seating card look like Charger tickets!  Get creative and start writing down your ideas!
