- Make your own wedding invitations or order them online from places like Vistaprint.com, Zazzle.com
- Reduce your guest list
- Have an extended cocktail hour and skip dinner
- Have your wedding during the off-season months
- Have a destination wedding
- Host your reception at a local restaurant
- Have your reception at the church or temple right after your ceremony
- Have wedding sponsors where you ask a few couples to sponsor (financially support) your wedding
- Have the reception at a local park or beach
- Have your family be a part of the entertainment during the reception or ceremony (singing, dancing etc)
- Have your bridesmaids pick out their own different dresses (just make sure they are the same color scheme)
- Go casual (one bride I know of had dinner at In&Out afterward)
- Have your wedding on a cruise ship
- Buy a fancy white dress that could pass as a wedding dress
- Make your own decorations with family and friends
- Make your own floral arrangements (check out youtube.com)
I got married on 11-11-11 and had a beautiful wedding that I planned in less than 5 months (and no I wasn't pregnant)! A lot of my friends have asked me how I planned everything, so here are some of my tips! (Picture above is of me and my hubby. I love this pic!)
